Hi,
It has a magnetic connection and if it's pulled out by the cord, it
won't do damage to either the computer or the cord. Because the cord
doesn't plug in like a pronged plug does using friction to hold it in
place.

Hi!
I notice that with the new Macbook and Macbook pro computers the
reviewers have been going on about some new redesigned power plug
that apparently isn't damaged if someone trips over the cord say
and the plug is pulled out of the machine, can anyone explain
exactly what this new design is?
