Saving files in the library isn't tricky at all, Tim outlined how you do this, they're just compressed and put into the Itunes music folder as compressed files, you can then delete the originals you imported from.

Hi, Tim.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll just go with having them played by selecting the files, since if I import them they will take up twice as much space--besides, I imagine saving files in the library folder might get tricky.

Or maybe not. But anyhow.

Thanks again.

Jane,

There's two ways you could go about this:

1. Start itunes and then press cmd+o to bring up the "Add to Library" dialog. Press cmd+2 to put the file browser into List mode. Locate the folder you need. Remember that VO keys+\ will expand folders when in these dialogs. Once the folder is selected, stop interacting with the Outline then navigate to the Choose button and press it. The audio files should begin importing into iTunes and playing at the same time. They should play in the order that they appear in the folder. Should is the key word but I seldom make guarantees as I hate mud in my face.

2. The other way is when iTunes is the default app for a given audio file, select all the files that you wish to play/import then press cmd+o and iTunes will automatically import them and play them.

If these items have already been imported into itunes previously, then it would be best to create a Playlist with the items in it and then simply play from the Playlist.

Hope this helps.
