Yes it does and I've been working with the Backup program in order to
get just the items I need to backup. This is very helpful info and
thank you very much.

Hi Scott,
You said:
I understand that Mail stores addresses and the like in the address
book, but I'll be damned if I can find any of the contacts. Well I
used to have contacts till I lost everything...grin I guess I'll
just have to add get new contacts....grin
Have you been able to get at the stuff Mail puts in there? I sure
wish they'd work on that app a little to make it more friendly, it
really is a useful tool, but not very efficient.
A couple of things for you to consider. As a .mac member you have
free access to an app called Backup which gives you numerous backup
capabilities. You can direct these backups to go to your idisk
which gives you an off-site bacup, good idea. As well, you can set
syncing preferences so that your Contacts can be shared amongst
your .mac computers.
With respect to the Address Book and contacts. Mail keeps a list
of Previously contacted people that are not in your Address book in
the "Previous contacts" window. Go under your Window menu and
choose "Previous contacts", you can browse the table to see which
are there and add any to the Address Book if you wish by the "Add
to Address Book" button. Address book also keeps the list of
contacts in a table that you can use. Interact with the table,
navigate to the contact you wish to check out, then stop
interacting with the table and move on to the Card View for the
contact. You can also simply double-click on the given contact to
get the Card View for him/her.
Hope this helps some.
