You have quicktime on your system and the update for it is not the
same thing as the upgrade for which you pay. You can update it just
like you update any program.
You don't need to put a different plugin in any directory for fb
content; just have flip4mac installed but do NOT let quicktime launch
for that content. Remember VLC is only for the descriptive videos so
the first time just let safari download the .m4u playlist file and do
"get info" cmd-i for the file and choose to have all files with that
extension opened by VLC. After that the movies should start in VLC
with no problem. What you use flip4mac to play is the windows media
radio content and for those files, before you start safari uncheck
the flip4mac preference box for launching quicktime. Also fb has real
audio content and you need realplayer insalled for that.
