I have a mac like this, although I got an apple keyboard with mine.
There are a lot of slots for adding things, I have already added a firewire card, and will add a USB one later.
With enough memory, I have 512, they can perform nicely.
Mine is not perfect still working on a modem issue, but I am really confused how Hank ended up with no keyboard? I would think anyone who sold him it would realize how important this was.

By the way, any ideas on a simple terminal emulation program that runs in os 9.22? I want to be sure my above mentioned modem actually works, and I have no other machine with this kind of connector to test it on.
Thanks,
Karen

You can try pressing the power key, wait two seconds, and then press
enter. Worse case scenario, just yank the power cord, but I would
wait until the drive has settled down.

I am still confused as to what model Mac you have. I looked it up,
and the Beige G3 didn't have USB. Are you using an add-in USB card?
I would expect that to be problematic.

And I don't understand why you say the video port is smaller than VGA
since that generation Mac has a video port that is larger, exactly the
same size as a PC joystick port, which I never appreciated until a
friend plugged a Mac monitor into his PC joystick port one day...
