Hi Jerry, Yes, when I got the G4, after Tiger had been installed, it had a zip drive and a CD-rom; I then removed the CD-rom and installed a new dual layer dvd burner, could be an LG, Pioneer, or some other common name of such optical drives. Your infor is what I wanted to hear, probably by tomorrow this time I will have the drive and the OSX installed. Thanks, Monte
