That would be Gabe.  You got it at a fair price, and I assume you knew
the amount of work you were in for?  Does the machine have one or two
drive bays?

also I don't have any OS 9 disk yet he has to find them and mail them to me.

It turns out that machine is fully supported for OS X 10.2.8.  You
might try that first, but of course you will needed sighted assistance
for that.  Jaguar is available for cheap (Apple gave it away to
teachers) and I think came on CDROM.

Here is a article from 2002 from a guy who was very pleased with OS X
performance on a Beige G3.
