hello:

I am deeply apologetic about my email.

I know i diidn't deserve such a kind response.

but...

I actually rung four os's over here in cluding a couple of windows boxes on my lan, along with centos, mac os, and bsd.

now grant it that I am not in understanding at all what the keyboard issue is. there are different keyboar strokes for different screen readers on all platforms, so i am confused on that point.

I own, hal, jaws, window eyes for windows and I have to use and memorize different keys for the various functions of each such as I do for linux, speakup and yasr and emacs speak. also for the mac with the old outspoken and now the current voice over.

so then, I am still not sure how you come to the conclusion that voice over is a complex thing to deal with on the keyboard.

Hi Gabe,

hell you are talking about in regards to VoiceOver."

It was an honest appraisal, we said who we were (from a windows
background) and what we tried to do. I'm curious as to how you came
across the article?

You went on to write:
"You didn't go in to the pdf reader (preview) and how it reads
pdf's with ease. you didn't go into the link lists, the item
lists or anything. you are just like those AFB idiots."

I agree there are some nice features, but we were disappointed with some
of the basics, especially the complexity of the keyboard access. We
followed the process set out by the British Computer Association of the Blind, probably due to the PC bias they don't include anything on PDFs.

I assume AFB is referring to the American Foundation for the Blind? I
don't know what they said, but I would be interested in reading any
other reviews if you have the links?

You also said:
"but did we really expect anything from a bunch of pc wining
phrauds?????"

Actually we are fairly OS agnostic. We use mostly windows desktops, but
also use several Macs. Several of our people have been using Macs for
years, including writing software for that OS. Other people are also
very happy with Linux based machines.

Personally, I will be moving to OSX at home, despite the poor keyboard
accessibility.

Kind regards,

-Alastair
