Gabe your correct there are alternatives, but really that's not the
complete point. Personally I have found a way to grab podcasts and
hell I'm learning that Apple script or even the Automater app really
has some promise and with some time I can get all kinds of things
done. The point is it would be nice to use the applications that came
with the os out of the box if you will instead of searching all over
the place for alternatives. Well the good thing is there are
alternatives and options, but both take time or education to learn
how to use tools like Apple script etc.
Of course if Itunes or Ical just worked out of the box, then it would
just make life easier. Then choosing an Alternate would then be a
case of wanting some different functionallity etc.
