I don't have an Intel Mac. It simply wouldn't work. I wish it would.

Hi Jane,

I had the same problem, Softpeida said that this word processor was intel compatable, and as I think yo've found out as well it isn't. I also deleted Text Edit oops

OK, this could get complicatred, so if I'm not clear, please ask questions.

Yesterday, I guess you all know, I installed Nisus writer Express. The demo, and it worked great.

Well, today, I tried this one that's supposed to be free. Wel I never could get it to install.

Well, I uninstaled Nisus Writer, too, thinking maybe it was somehow interfering. But it wasnot.

Anyhow, did a re-install of the free word processor, but it still wouldn't work. *Then* I discovered a *folder* not app, called TextEdit. I deleted it, and the TextEdit app was *gone*. Well, I thought I had deleted the folder, anyhow, but I had not.

I got the app and reinstalled it from my husband's computer--he put it on a jump drive--and it's working again. But what is this folder, and is it safe to delete it?

there are things to do with that free word processor and .. well, snot sure what to do about it am afraid to try deleting the folder, because textedit might screw up again and I need it. *sigh*
