Hi Folks,
Some may remember an earlier discussion we had regarding support by
the libraries for affordable DAISY playback options (the discussion
became mostly about DAISY and Digital Rights Management (DRM)).
Happily, RFBD has posted an easy-to-find User Authorization Key (UAK)
page - which includes information re the katieplayer for Mac OS X UAK
- linked from the main page of their site. Link follows:

Kudos to RFBD for doing this. This really matters. It makes it *much*
easier for us to continue to support RFBD content in the coming Cocoa
version of katieplayer. If you're a katieplayer user (or are just
happy that RFBD is making real, public effort to support affordable
or free DAISY playback solutions on the popular computing platforms),
you may want to think seriously about dropping a quick email to the
RFBD folks letting them know that this access is a good thing and
matters to you. For those of you who wish to write, I recommend
writing directly to Stephanie Turner at: sturner at rfbd dot org.
She'll appreciate your feedback, read/compile your notes and pass the
information on. This will work better than a friendly call or email
to RFBD Member Services.
Again, thanks to RFBD and thanks to you all for listening. Please
feel free to share or repost this mail as you wish.
Joe
