Can this actually run OSX under a Windows XP host? The idea seems like an
inexpensive way to try it out. It would never run as good in a virtual
environment as normal, but it would give the idea of what things are like. I
wonder what people are using the 2000 under XP solution for as I see no
benefit to that at all.

That would be the Windows version of Virtual PC. So you can emulate
2000 under XP or some such nonsense. The OS X version of Virtual PC
is still big bucks, and not compatible with the Intel Macs.
