I can make the doc quit talking by running a pprogram from spark. I
have a hot key f16 that sez the time and if I go to the doc it will
not talk.

it's a pain. today I actually had vo stop dead with not even clicks
or anything; that hasn't happened before and I don't know what
brought it on. Pulled the plug and rebooted and fortunately got vo
back. I'd like to go back to 10.4.6 but I think I'd have to do a
whole new install to do it and I'm not quite that annoyed yet.
