Subject: boot camp and startup disk under windows
Just wanted to drop a note here to let folks know that for some reason,
sometimes my xp startup disk control panel option does not work to reboot
into mac os.
When this happens, it is necessary to hold down the option key during
system boot. After you hear the tone saying the computer has restarted,
hold down the option key for a few seconds. The menu of systems will
appear. If you were last in windows (as is the case, or you wouldn't
need to do this) it will be highlighted. Simply hit the left arrow, and
it will switch to mac os. Press enter, then it will startup in mac os as
it should.
Hope this helps someone who may not have sighted assistance around when
this happens to them.
Otherwise, I'm rather enjoying xp on my mac box. It boots considerably
faster than my dedicated xp machine, and shuts down even faster than it
boots.
My window eyes is misbehaving, but that's not a result of boot camp, it's
a problem with lto keys, but otherwise, everything is working well. I
don't know if I'll keep it this way, but it is kind of neat having both
oses on one machine.
