You don't need cd record to make an audio disc.
Simply copy them to a folder (sounds like you already did that) then just
tell finder to burn a disc. Or, you can download softcon audio burn, and
use that program to do the burning as well. Since the cd recording is
built into the os, you don't need a utility like cd recordto do the
recording, and besides, it sounds like cd record is looking for the wrong
device anyhow. I've not used it, so can't say for sure, but I don't
believe the mac cd drives are scsi, they're ata I think, which would make
cd record not work anyhow if it's trying to use scsi commands.
