Actually, the beta I redownloaded yesterday doesn't actually seem to
have a dial tab you have to select. I just use the numpad to type the
numbers in the search field and hit enter. Remember you need the plus
and country code unless you have a default set up in preferences. the
window you should be in should have something that says "search and
call contacts" and a popup menu "online" etc. Should also have a
search field and "edit profile" button. A few unlabeled buttons, a
menu to change the contact view, Also shows how many million skype
users are online. Frankly looks a bit different from what I thought I
downloaded last week but I didn't look at that real thoroughly so
can't say for sure.
Maybe I'm totally missing it, but I have no idea what the phrase
"when the skype out call answers" means.
Last night I payed for a three month subscription to a phone number
so I could practice calling myself and answering. It really helped as
I had been expecting "answer" to be a button rather than just a word
to hit space on. also autoanswer does work very nicely.
