I didn't have to just now, but mine also still anounces that the "add
button" is a mennue as well. It took a second for the popup mennue
to come up but it did and I could just VO and arrow down through the
selections.
But if VO space doesn't work then the next to try is VO Shift
Spacebar. If that fails check where your mouse cursor is. I happen
to have cursor tracking turned on and the mouse and VO are both at
the "add" button, or in your case the button just called "button."
As long as it doesn't say dimmed you should be ok.

Hi Hank. The button to the right of the table, but before the
dimmed edditbutton is your "add" button. Why it isn't anounced on
your machne, well, I don't know.
Yes you will have to click add to start. At this point it
doesn't have a clue as to whether you have any exsisting acounts
or not.
Now if say, you wanted to start a new acount, lets say with Icq
for example with no exsisting acount before, then under "help" in
the Apple mennue is a link to their homepage. As well to all of
the other services covered by Fire.
So that would be how to start a totally new acount with a new
service.
Of course if you already have an exsisting acount you only have to
continue straight through the prompts or set up page that comes
up just after clicking "add acount" button.
