Pro Tools is the most widely used program from audio recording and production. It's ubiquitous in the recording industry as well as the academic world. It used to be accessible with the outSPOKEN screen reader but since OS 10 came out, there weren't any solutions. The current version of Pro Tools does not play well with VoiceOver. We're trying to get Digidesign to see how many blind persons are interested in using PT with tiger and the upcoming Leopard. I'd like to startle them with a few thousand signatures because, unfortunately,j there are probably a bunch of bean counters in the back offices who will only respond to numbers. The tech people and customer service are all sympathetic to the situation but we need to show the suits that the blind community involved in audio and music is substantial.
