Just curious, with the unlocked adapter you can do so much so where is the advantage with the software-based phone. This is a serious question, I am interested as I'm considering both avenues, but only have checked into the hardware solutions.

Check out the Sipura line of adapters. I don't have a url right off hand, but hopefully that was spelled correctly. There's a gent who did a review of these for BLind Cool Tech, http:// www.blindcooltech.com and he provides loads of information and also free services.
