Yes, that is the series. It is annoying and I plan to persue this
with Canon because I'd like to know what's the problem. I'm running
this on an Intel Imac.

P.S. Scott, do you mean the Canoscan Lide series? If so, I've
bugged Canon about the driver/VO issue, as I'm having it as well,
though on my iBook it is actually quite slow and a little more than
annoying. I just reinstalled my OS, which fixed a lot of odd quirks
and issues I'd been having, so I should try the driver again and
see if it dealt with that as well.
