What happens to programs that won't install?

My son-in-law downloaded bodog poker on the Mac, but it would not install for 
him.  So where is this so-called internet program he installed on my Mac?
He said it downloaded, but it would not install.  I do not gamble, so I would 
like to get rid of it.
