Hi Jane,

No, there is, unfortunately, no way around this for some models. I have the Logitech headphone/microphone combo and have the same issue.

Hey there.

No, this is a headset with a microphone. I have to go to system preferences, then sound, then switch the input to the headset and thge output as well. Then I close it out, When I pull them out, it defaults back to the built-in speakers, but when I plug them back in again, I have to go through that setup again.

Are these USB speakers? My Macs switch from "regular" to USB without any involvement from me.

Hi, all.

I just got a USB headset with microphone to use as part of a job. If I plug the headset in, I have to go to system preferences and manually switch the input and output to the headset. Was wondering if there is a way to set this up so that I don't have to do that/ It's a cheap set, only cost $43 at Staples.
