Unfortunately the advanced pdf program does not work on a Mac. So I hope
you still have a PC.

Check out a program called advanced pdf password recovery pro. If you
own the pdf file (as you would if you purchased it) then you can run
apdfprp to remove the protection. It's not a free program though, it's
somewhere in the neighborhood of 69 bucks if I remember correctly.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the web site to purchase it, and my copy
is on my windows machine, so I don't have it at the moment. However,
doing a web search should turn it up.
