Focusing the Cursor on an Older Mac

Hello, I received an inqiry from a friend of mine, wondering how her 
sighted colleague can focus her cursor on the website when downloading 
from it?  According to her, this sighted person has a six-year-old Mac; 
she's not a techie, and there's not much information to go on, except 
that this sighted person is able to click on the site, but she is 
unable to download anything, once she gets there.  I surmised that thee 
may be a problem with either her machine or with the operating system 
she is using, since I don't think she's using Tiger.  This machine is 
six years old.  Sorry I am sketchy with this question, but that's all I 
had to go on.  Any assistance you can send me would be greatly 
appreciated, and if it's okay, I will forward suggestions to my friend,
