Hello Greg and list,
The application looks really nice from a VO user's standpoint. However, it would be really nifty if I could also back translate from braille to text. Also, the file extension that NLS uses for Braille I think is .brf instead of .brl. It would really be nice to download books from NLS and back translate to .txt.
Thanks for this application so far, please keep up your wonderful work.

I have just posted NFBtrans for MacOSX. This new version offers several major improvements

1. VoiceOver compatible GUI
2. Discovery of serial ports for embossers. meaning you can translate and send directly to the embosser or save to a file.
3. Creation of log files
4. Multi language support (TBP people this includes an updated Swedish translation table.)
5. Application bundled as a single mac .app directory.

the Beta versions can be downloaded at: http://w3.wmcnet.org/ braille/nfbtrans/NFBtrans.zip

Thank you.
