I am forwarding this request for assistance with the permission of the
person who contacted me off the list. Carolyn McLeod from Sumter, SC,
is hoping for a phone call (803-775-4951) from someone local. She is
looking for some candid advice regarding if a Mac would be a good
choice for her, and some assistance after the purchase if she goes the
VoiceOver route.

Subject: Please help

I am an Apple Certified Technician working for the largest of the
only three Apple Authorized Resellers and Service Providers in the
entire state of South Carolina. I have a potential customer who is
considering buying a computer from us and would like to talk to
someone. Her name is Carolyn McLeod from Sumter, SC and she is
blind. She's been told that Mac is the best for her, but wants to
talk to another blind individual – or individuals – to help her in
making this decision. She doesn't currently own a computer of any
kind – this would be her very first computer – and is considering
an introductory 17" iMac. If someone – or several someones – would
please call Ms. McLeod, that would be most appreciated. Ms. McLeod
said that she is even willing to be called collect – she just needs
to talk to someone else who is also blind about the possible
purchase of the iMac. Her phone number is 803-775-4951.

Thanking you in advance for your help.
