and to make things really interesting, you can probabbly plug another keyboard into it.

Hey Richy. There is no battery in the keyboard. The USB ports on the keyboard split the small amount of voltage coming from that port. The keyboard itself is using some of that power, as well as the mouse. I've been able to plug in a sound card, a card reader, a USB External Hard Drive, or a mouse. However, some devices like my USB Midi Interface require way too much power, so it needs to be plugged into it's own usb bus, which is the other port on the back of your computer.
