Those choices in Zoom have been there.
What I want is that when I type a message in Mail the zoomed screen
will move as I type off the zoomed image. Right now it does not, even
though I do have follow text cursor checked. If I uncheck it then it
never follows in any application. As is it works in some just not many.
Second I'd like that when I mouse click on something the image,
zoomed image doesn't jump away from where I clicked. I've been able
to reproduce this on every Mac I have tried it at, at least 7
different Macs.
There are three choices under "When zoomed in, the screen image
moves" I would prefer having it move only when I reach the edge of
the screen. But I find that the mouse response is very slow and I
went and increased the speed to max. The best performance is the
first, continuously move. I don't like it always moving, but it seems
to work the best of the three.
In Zoomtext it moves when it nears the edge, and you can set that
threshold.
On the wish list end I'd like to be able to change the color of the
pointer. I'm just glad we can increase the size, and I love how that
works. But color would help greatly.
Is anyone else using Zoom on a daily basis? Or I should ask, relying
on it to use their Mac? If so are you experiencing any problems?

I'm not seeing any additional options.
What new are you seeing?
I think the checkbox for "Zoom follows the keyboard focus" is new.
I think the radio button option for "the screen image moves … So the
pointer is at or near the center of the image" is new.
In particular, I understood from your description of the behavior,
that this last item is what you were looking for.
