I have a windows keyboard that, when mapped to a Mac layout, the 
Applications Key becomes the right Caps Lock key on the Mac machine.  I 
had a sighted technician to map the layout for me, but since the 
release of 10.4.8, has there been any work-arounds to mapping out a 
Windows keybord, using VoiceOver?  I have a windows ergonomic keyboard, 
with a split running down the middle of the keyboard, and slightly 
curved around the split.  When I first turn on my Mac Mini, it says 
Keyboard is not recognizable.  then it instructs me to press the key to 
the right of the left shift key, which I did, but not all the keys 
work.  Perhaps I'm not waiting long enough for an audible cue from 
VoiceOver.  I had no problem setting up the Remote Mouse, because 
voiceOver gave me a tone, when it was set up and I could use it, (I 
don't use the mouse, but my wife does).  I guess what I'm asking is, 
how long do I hold down the Z key before VoiceOver indicates that the 
keyboard setup has been completed?  Richie gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
