I use the native fax in windows.

The good news is the mac can fax without a machine. You need a
modem of course orr a fax over the internet strategy. If you need
hard documents faxed, you can scan them in without ocr and fax
away. if what you want to send is already machined, you can just
send. Once you get faxing set up, you just choose fax from the
list of printers and fill in the required information. I've not
done this on the Mac myself but have done lots of it on the pc and
it works nicely.
