You would go to the closest city field and type in the name of the
closest major city to your location. For example if you were in Mountain
Time zone you would type in Denver. The control will jump to that city
and set your time zone accordingly.

While we are on the subject of date and time, how in the world do you
change the time zone. I know it is the second tab, but I never could
find where to select the one I wanted. I finally gave up and had my
sighted wife click the map.
I know I just over-looked something. Please provide step by step
instructions on doing this and I will appreciate it.

To set the date and time, go to System Preferences. Tab or arrow down
till you hear Voiceover say, "Date/Time." Type in the name of your
city, and I would have Tiger set it with your network provider,
automatically. Type in the date, then set the lock to prevent further
changes. HTH. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
