batch scanning with read iris pro

Hi guys.  I've just installed read iris on my computer, and I'm  
curious about something.  So far I'm using it pretty well, but I'm  
having one problem.  How do you batch scan with read iris.  I've  
selected the multis-can tab but it doesn't seem to change anything.   
I press the acquire document from scanner button, then I get a  
scangear dialog box that's really difficult to navigate because I  
always get a busy signal, but I can scan single pages and it comes up  
in an rtf file, but I can't seem to get a multipage document.  Ay  
help would be greatly appreciated.
