well from my days in pro audio and recording. even from university, I used
logic and loved it to bits. it had that real character to it and would respond
to my every need whether on the PC or mac.
Cubase on the other hand is horrid software. it was never accessible then
and it never will be. considering that charlie steinberg's father was blind.
you'd think that there would be some serious accessibility work done on such a
product to bring it to access equality standards under the human rights act.
Pro tools when on the mac classic interface was a wonderful tool to work
with and I enjoyed its use. except it was expensive to get hardware for the
kind of work. now though as sooon as it's made accessible I'll be there with
my
cheque book to go pro tools with the TDM and core cards etc and the magma
chassis. so basically my answer is for general recording and production go for
logic when it becomes accessible. for professional work with demands then go
pro tools. of course I also say for students at college or high school or
university who have music systems there running pro tools or logic that they
support your needs.
