But if you are just using the version of omnipage that came with the 
scanner, orientation does indeed matter; with the lide 60 it must be face 
down with the bottom of the page toward the bottom of the scanner. also it 
appears to be best to try to keep from having two pages at once lying on 
the scanner; at least for me one page ends up being mostly garbage.
