The whole point of DCM was that all accessibility products would use
a common interface and, therefore, be able to coexist. Every other
accessibility company cooperated, it appears. But Freedom,
unsurprisingly, decided to go their own way. Although of course, DCM
is now a thing of the past since there is better technology available
under Vista. I haven't seen JFW under Vista. So it wouldn't be fair
of me to comment. Neither have I tried it under Boot Camp or
Parallels on the Mac. After the way Freedom treated me, re-selling
my purchased serial number and stealing my paid-for SMA, I refuse to
give them another bean! I'd rather ditch Windows completely than do
that.

The fs//microsoft arangement has actually changed for the better.
There is a better video manager frrom what I am told but in order too
remain the highly functioning screen reader it is, JAWS and Zoomtext
and Magic and others will need to hook into the video. This is not
to say that Window eyes is not good, just different.
