Hi. Recording the Mic and Voice Over together with audio hijack pro
really isn't that hard, but it isn't really obvious how it's done.
So it took a bit of playing to figure it out. What you need to do is
create two sessions. The first one you set to record system audio.
If you've installed sound flower, then system audio will be available
in the source type list. Note that the source type button is under
the input tab. This is the session you'll be recording from, so
you'll want to go in to the recording tab and set things up how you
want them, like for example to record in mp3, aiff, etc.
Next you need to create a second session. You want to select audio
device in the source type list, and then select your microphone from
the input device list. For the output device, select sound flower 2
C H. This is confusing to read I know, but it will make sense once
you see the screens.
Now you want to hijack your system audio session, then hijack your
microphone session. I don't know if it's important that you do it in
that order, but I suspect that it is. You should know that it's
working if you hear your mic. Now you can record. It's important to
remember to hit the record button on the system audio session and not
the mic session. If you use the mic session, you'll just get your
voice.
Hopefully this made some sort of sense. If not, I'll be happy to
clarify anything that isn't clear.
