Hi Lisa and all,
I too have done a bit of creating new speakable items. I love
speakable items. You have reminded me that I've not given it a real
work outt on my macbook. I love it when I'm getting it to tell me
jokes and it tells mee "no more jokes, back to work". I also like
how it works with VO but wish it would not cause fo to repeat "system
has a new window" whenever the speech server pops up.

A cool feature indeed. have you spent any time working with speech
recognition built into the mac?
Speakable Items are handy and they de reduce what I need to do with
my hands.
Unfortunately, at this point I really need something that will take
dictation.
Considering that you don't really 'train' your mac to understand you
with the Speakable Items the quality of the recognition is rather
amazing. Although why it sometimes thinks I said "quit this
application" when I said "delete this message" is beyond me.
Overall, Speakable Items help me to work faster and with a few less
hand movements. I'm not good at creating new items at this point but
it really isn't too hard to do.
