Greetings all,
Draconis Entertainment has been developing a social networking
site, similar to MySpace, which is nearing launch. It's taken
longer than we would've liked, and we're very ready to start
getting this off the ground. It is targeted to blind and visually
impaired persons, their friends, and families.
People are welcome to have simple blogs there, connect with new
people, keep their friends and family up to date, advertise their
talents and their companies, and so on.
The site is not entirely complete, there are still some small
things that we're working on, but you're welcome to start checking
it out, register, and so on. It is all free, and we're hoping for
feedback on your experiences using the site with VO.
I'm also looking for submissions for the Editorials section, so if
you'd like to try your hand at articles related to, virtually
anything, then drop me a note off list and we'll talk. I've got a
few special writers already lined up, but not nearly enough.
Conceptual topics for the editorials section are, but are not
limited to, VI relationships, assistive technology, humorous or
serious stories related to life as a blind person, entertainment
reviews of books, music, movies, etc, politics, and pretty much
anything else you can think of.
The web site is up and running at http://www.blindspots.net
Feedback is welcome.
