Hi David, >>hmm, the old way sounds simpler <grin> I got the feed. it was >>blindcooltech.com with something.xml at the end of it. It seems to >>work. Is there any way just to browse all the podcasts on the ITunes >>store?
Sorry for another afterthought. You _should_ be able to just use the general Search field (command-option F) in iTunes to search for the Blind Cool Tech podcast when you've selected the iTunes Store in your source pane. The problem is that the search goes through everything in the iTunes Store. It's OK for running Music searches, but in practice a search for podcasts done this way will time out without finding anything. And it's absolutely awful trying to search this way when the store is really busy -- like when there are lots of customers wanting to try out a new feature like iTV. That's why searching for podcasts limited by category is preferable. You can often make this search work even when the store is impossibly busy for music searches. In practice, I just save this address for the podcast search as a bookmark. >The web address podcast search using: > >http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/advancedSearch?mt=2 > >(everything should be on a single line in the browser) is another hack, but >it lets you search for podcasts by keywords in the description, or by author >or exact title. (Hint to Jane: put "Celtic Music" in the description field >*grin*). And this really is my last comment on this topic! Cheers, Esther
