IPTC caption are for JPEG and TIFF file I don't know about GIF if it
will work or not. I'll work on writing the caption too.

wait. Are you talking about .gif files, or are you talking aboutg
somehting totally differrent that I've missed? Anyhow, I have lots
of pictures of my little girl, and it would be cool to know what
they are based on a caption that I can add.

I can also get lot's of other data from the image as well, size
resolution, if a flash was used and so on. What kind of
information would you like to get back from an image?
Please send along your suggestions and I'll make up a GUI for it
and release it. It might even be possible to write a caption data
back onto a picture that does not have one yet bet that will be in
the second release if needed.
