I have a question about Something similar to this as well. Is there a
way to jump to a specific time in itunes? I know there's the checkbox
in get info dialog but it didn't seem to work when I tried it with
audible.com books. But I'd already started playing the file so I
think that had something to do with it. This is one thing I really
miss that I used to have in winamp in windows. If there's not a way,
its not a huge deal, I just thought I'd ask.

Hi Jane,
If you don't want to have podcasts (subscribed to in iTunes)
resume their playback at the place you left off, you can just
uncheck the "Remember playback position" box that
automatically gets set (along with "Skip When Shuffling")
on the options panel under Get Info for the selected track.
What I use instead is the "Reset Bookmarks" AppleScript from
Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes site. It will reset the remembered
playback position to the start for any selected audiobooks,
podcasts, or other iTunes tracks that "bookmark" the last played
position.
Other really useful AppleScripts are listed on his
"Missing Menu Commands" page. These are commands
that you'd like to find built into iTunes like the "Jump to
Playlist" script mentioned last month and, like that script,
can be bound to customized keyboard shortcuts.
Google "dougscripts Missing Menu Commands" (dougscripts
is one word) to find this page.
I recommend navigating the Missing Menu pages by typing
"mmc" in the item chooser menu (VO-keys+I), then you can
VO-keys down arrow to read the individual commands. (Note:
don't select the mmc link, just start navigating with down arrow
from there).
Here are a few examples to give a flavor of what's there:
Selected tracks to (Select Playlist) -- works with radio streams, too
Replay Last Bit -- good for reviewing
Skip Ahead n Seconds -- skip over intros (convenient with shortcut)
Quick Convert -- convert or import tracks with any encoder on the fly
View Current Playlist -- like show current track (Command-L), but
for playlists; useful if you have the song in more than 1
playlist
Join Together -- merge tracks
Where Is This? -- displays file path and file name of current track
Make Bookmarkable -- change file type to make selected AAC tracks
bookmarkable (results show up under Audiobooks)
If you know the name of a specific AppleScript or have followed a link
to its page, just use the item chooser menu to read about the script
and find the download links.

Cheers,
