Hi Josh, Most things you can do with "sudo", ie. at the terminal window: $ sudo command and then it asks for your admin password. However, when navigating around restricted directories, this is a nightmare, so I would enable 'root', which is the first hit in help for "root". This says: "To enable the root user: 1. Open NetInfo Manager, located in Applications > Utilities. 2. Choose Security > Enable Root User and type a password for the root account. You may need to type an administrator password to make these changes." Then you can use "su" on the command line and login as root. Hth, -Alastair
