Hi, all. I'm actually *using* Adium for IM at the moment.
It doesn't crash, as such, not with the latest few versions, anyway. What I will say though is, you don't seem to be able to easily read your conversation as you're having it. In other words, in the window where you're talking to people, you don't seem to be able to read the scroll back.
What I end up doing is reading the scroll back if I miss any messages, and also, set it to speak the messages as they come in. This doesn't use VO, it uses the Built in OS X speech stuff, the way say does.
I don't know whether I'd use it if I had a *lot* of IM people to chat to, the accessibility's a bit interesting, but as it is, I'm usually just talking to my husband who's at work and maybe one or two others, so it works fairly well for me.
