Do any of your professors use Powerpoint lecture notes? If so, how do
you view them? Do you ever have to use spreadsheets? If so, what do
you use? I'm curious because I'm a student and I've been keeping a
Windows machine around for things like that.

Don't let this business of installing tex scare you to much. It is
pretty easy. Actually, I tried installing it on my PC and found it
much harder to deal with. The hard part is learning latex.
I am a student at UC Berkeley and I only use my mac with voiceover to
get my work done.
