Hi Josh,
Well, VO seems to read the text as it comes in, but I have not played extensively with it yet. If you can get a script to work, please let me know, but it's still very usable as it is. If you have the old Infocom games and such, you can dust them off. I've found that the occasional Z6 or Z8 game will not read at all, but only 2 out of about 20 I have tried. There is a website out there that has several hundred games that can be played.

Hi John,

That's a pity. The auto reading actually works extremely well, but it would be nice to have the otpion of reviewing text as well. Going in and out of the preferences when you need to review something is kind of annoying, but I suppose not as bad as it could be. I wonder if an Apple Script could be written to turn that option on and off. I'll have to look into that.

Hi Josh,
OK, the trick is not to check the speech box in preferences. If you do, you can't read the text with the VO navigation keys. Otherwise, it works like a charm. Great find, Josh!
