Hi
You may have given Linux 20gb of space to play around with in the
VMWare image, but remember Linux does not know it is on an image. As
far as it's concerned, it's a scsi hard drive. You can partition this
20gb of space however you like without affecting your Mac files--in
fact, Linux won't be able to see your Mac files at all during the
installation process. Remember, the image file appears as a standard
hard drive to the guest operating system. Linux doesn't want more
space than it has, you just have to tell it how to utilize the space
you've given it.

Hello
So, apparently gnome is currently just running from the iso disk
image and is not really installed. I started up the installation
process and everything was fine until it told me that it wanted to
make a partician for itself. I thought that I already delt out the
space to it when I set up the virtual computer in fusion. I gave
it 20 gb of space to kick around. And now it wants more.
What should I do to get around this? If it does partician, won't
it erase my mac files?
