The problem with doing that is that the USB port on the AppleTV is disabled by default. With some tinkering you can apparently get it working, but I have no knowledge of anyone getting it going and trying to launch VO. My guess is that, at present, VO is probably absent from the version of OSX on the AppleTV, but again I am not sure and don't know anyone who can try this.
