Windows Vista borrowed a couple of Apple's concepts, but they didn't expand on them. MSAA is no longer called Microsoft Active Accessibility. It's called something else, and from what I understand, it allows flexibility for screenreaders to be developed to take advantage of Vista's full range of accessibility features without reinventing the wheel.
