Gabe, (I respectfully note) I think you're missing the point. It doesn't matter what you know or what you think is or is not in Leopard. The point is that you shouldn't be saying this or at least should be communicating it in a fashion that makes it clear that it is just a rumor.
As much as I'd like to reply to your concerns with what I think and have observed to date in Leopard, I can't. Because what you disclosed, regardless of the veracity of your statement, would be something covered under NDA. Everything else is speculation. Given that you said: 1. testers would tell you - which they can't legally in any way 2. that voiceover is buggy - how would you know unless you tried/observed it yourself or were privy to such information? 3. braille is unsupported - again, you say you weren't privy to this in a legal manner Also might I note, a simple spotlight or gdesktop search might not show something like that, so whether or not there is a valid result would not be indicative of any support or lack thereof of braille in leopard. For what it's worth, things are taken out of and put into builds all the time by everyone, not just Apple. Any given semi-public/dev build, even a WWDC build, is for development purposes so devs can have a leopard-compatible application by the leopard ship date and as a sidenote, for bug reporting purposes. It is not necessarily feature complete nor bug-free. Unless you had the final build of Leopard that's supposed to be shipping in October, or unless you were an engineer at Apple working on certain things, you really wouldn't know until the very end. Only at that point, if you have concerns regarding voiceover or braille support, is it then appropriate to file bug reports and contact people you know. Or if you want Apple's seed program to be changed to include more people, such as yourself. Keep in mind that is not what the ADC seeding program is for though. Also don't get too frustrated, because there were plenty of people interested in Leopard accessibility at WWDC and probably more ADC members in general so it's not like accessibility features in Leopard are going to be ignored by people. cheers, jane On 7/14/07, The BlindTechs Network <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Josh, you killed it. I never said 1. I have leopard 2. I never signed a nda 3. I aproached apple to sign a nda but was not excepted. so does that answer all your worries. and if apple wants to bring court action against me, they know where to find me.
