Hi John. Okay, what I did was to click on the authorize computer button under the store menu. Then I clicked on view account. You enter your apple ID and password, and then click on the itunes store image, even though vo says it is dimmed. It worked. Once done I just followed the prompts which said something like this apple id has not been used with Itunes. Then I clicked on the authorize computer button again and entered my apple id and password again. This time, I got an authorize button. And it worked. Now, I can access the store. But as to how you move the mouse to the price column of an item, I don't know. If I click on the item itself, nothing happens.

Hi Gordon,
I believe there are people who know a lot more than I do about the buying songs process on the list, but from my experimenting, you click on the price column. I don't know how easy it works if you don't have the one click option on. Please do tell how you did the validation thing?

I haven't messed with ripping CDs, but I thought there were preferences somewhere in there for it. I listen to music virtually all day with iTunes while I'm in the office, but I haven't gone much beyond play lists and such.

Hi John. Regarding buying songs, I found a way to validate the account without sighted help. It's actually very very easy. But I don't really want the one-click option on because if I want to add an entire album then it makes it difficult. Are you saying just mouse-clicking on a song/item should do the job? I'm sure I tried that. But I'll do so again. Okay, now how to rip a CD? How to set up the ripping preferences? I'm only just starting to play with ITunes.

I'm not sure what is meant by the source disappearing. You should be able to tab or use the VO navigation keys to move from the podcast list back to the source list. If you have interacted with the podcast list, try stopping the interaction and see if it can work.

As for buying songs, Gordon, you need to set up an iTunes account first and, then, from what I have read, you will still need sighted help to validate it the first time you try to buy something. After that, you need to highlight the price column and use the VO keys plus shift and spacebar to click it. You should also have the one click option set up in the store preferences from my understanding.

Put a message on Techno Will. IO'm not an expert in ITunes, only just trying to figure out the way it works myself. I'm trying to figure out how I buy items from the store. No luck so far.
